Voting
Voting is free, takes a minute a day across three listings, and pays in tokens, cases and streak rewards. Nothing it gives is exclusive.
Where to vote, and how often
The server is listed on three public server lists. Each one accepts one vote per player per day, so the ceiling is three votes a day. Type /vote sites in game for the current links; on Java they are clickable, on Bedrock they arrive as plain text because Geyser cannot open a chat URL.
| Listing | Address |
|---|---|
| Minecraft IP List | minecraftiplist.com |
| MCVoting | mcvoting.com |
| Minecraft Servers | minecraftservers.org |
Once an hour the server posts a reminder in chat with the three links attached. That broadcast is the only nagging the system does.
You do not have to be online. A vote cast while you are offline is recorded against your name, and every case it earned is handed to you the next time you log in. Votes from a name that has never joined the server are ignored outright, which is how test pings from the listing sites are kept out of the ledger.
The four commands that matter are /vote (the reward screen), /vote stats, /vote top and /vote sites. /v is the alias.
What a single vote pays
Every vote, without exception and without any roll, pays the same three things:
- One vote token. Tokens are the currency of
/voteshopand they do not expire. - One Common vote case. It arrives as an item in your inventory, or waits for your next login if you are offline.
- A streak evaluation. The vote is checked against the calendar day of your previous vote, which is what decides whether your streak advances.
If you happen to be online when the vote lands, a 30 minute coin drip also starts: 0.10 coins per minute, paid once a minute for the full window. Over the half hour that is 3 coins. It is a token gesture rather than an income source, and a second vote inside the window restarts the timer rather than stacking a second drip. If you were offline when the vote arrived you do not get it at all, and there is no way to claim it later.
Unless an operator has switched broadcasts off, each vote is announced in chat with your name, the listing you used and your current streak.
The daily streak
The streak counts days on which you voted, not votes cast. Voting on all three listings in one afternoon moves it by one, the same as voting once. The comparison uses UTC calendar days, so the boundary is the same for everyone regardless of where you live.
- A vote on the same day as your previous vote leaves the streak where it is.
- A vote on the next day adds one.
- A vote after a missed day resets the streak to one.
Streak cases are granted only on a day the streak actually advances, and the tiers are cumulative rather than exclusive: the day you reach 30, you receive the Uncommon, the Rare, the Epic and the Legendary together, on top of that day's Common.
| Streak reaches | Case added on each advancing day from then on |
|---|---|
| 3 days | Uncommon |
| 7 days | Rare |
| 14 days | Epic |
| 30 days | Legendary |
| 60 days | Mythic |
At a 60 day streak, one vote a day yields six cases: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic. That is the whole reason the tiers are written as "at or above" thresholds rather than one-off unlocks. Miss a single day and you are back to one, and the ladder starts again from three.
Milestones on your total vote count
Separately from the streak, your lifetime vote total triggers milestones. These are count based, so they cannot be lost by missing a day, and multiple votes in one day all count towards them.
| Every | Reward |
|---|---|
| 10 votes | 2,500 coins |
| 50 votes | 1 Rare case |
| 100 votes | 1 Epic case |
| 250 votes | 1 Mythic case, announced server-wide |
The thresholds overlap, and when they do they all fire. Vote number 100 pays the coins, the Rare and the Epic in one go. Vote number 250 pays the coins, the Rare and the Mythic, but not an Epic, because 250 is not a multiple of 100.
The 2,500 coin milestone is currently untaxed, so the amount that reaches your wallet is the amount announced. /vote stats shows your total, your next milestone and how many votes are left to reach it.
Vote cases: six qualities, 133 rewards
A vote case is a sealed item you carry and open when you choose. There are five qualities you meet in ordinary play, Common through Legendary, plus Mythic, which sits above them and is earned only by sustained voting.
| Quality | Rows in its pool | Coin rewards | How you get one |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 21 | 25 to 200 | Every vote |
| Uncommon | 24 | 175 to 450 | 3 day streak; vote shop, 5 tokens |
| Rare | 25 | 600 to 1,200 | 7 day streak; every 50th vote; vote shop, 15 tokens |
| Epic | 23 | 1,800 to 4,500 | 14 day streak; every 100th vote; vote shop, 40 tokens |
| Legendary | 25 | 5,000 to 12,000 | 30 day streak; vote shop, 100 tokens |
| Mythic | 15 | 20,000 to 35,000 | 60 day streak; every 250th vote |
That is 133 reward rows in total. They live in a catalogue file that staff can edit and reload without restarting the server, so the contents can change between one day and the next. A malformed row is disabled on its own and named in the log; the rest of the catalogue still loads, because one typo must never take voting offline.
The eight kinds of reward
| Kind | What it hands you | Rows |
|---|---|---|
| Item | Vanilla items and blocks, including enchanted books such as Mending, Protection IV and Efficiency V or VI | 56 |
| Custom | Any registered custom item: gems, runes, Relic Coins, Rift Shards, Ruin Keys, hemp goods, Study Notes | 22 |
| Coin | A coin payout, scaled and capped as described below | 18 |
| Buff | A tier of an existing buff, only if it is a real upgrade for you | 13 |
| Case | More cases, sometimes of a higher quality than the one you opened | 10 |
| Skill XP | 400 to 4,000 XP in one skill discipline | 6 |
| Token | 1 to 60 vote tokens back | 6 |
| Booster | A timed booster from the existing booster catalogue | 2 |
Rows can carry conditions. A row may require a minimum or maximum net worth, a minimum skill level, a minimum total vote count or a minimum streak. If you fail a row's condition it is removed from your roll and the remaining weights are re-totalled for you: it is not rerolled and not substituted, it simply is not in your pool that day. This is why a Mining Study Note only turns up for somebody who mines, and why a stack of iron ingots stops appearing once your net worth passes 50,000. Every pool is required to keep at least one unconditional row, so nobody can ever roll an empty pool.
Elytra were deliberately removed from every pool and are not obtainable from a case.
Opening a case
Right-click the case in your hand to open it, or use the case row on the /vote screen. A reel spins for 40 frames at two ticks each, roughly four seconds, and then the reward is delivered.
Two details about that reel are worth knowing. The symbols it shows are drawn using the same weights as the real roll, so the animation is an honest preview of the odds rather than a flattering one. And the reward is resolved before the animation begins, which means what you watch land is what you receive.
If you roll a buff you already hold at maximum tier, the system rerolls up to eight times looking for something you can actually use. If it still cannot find one, it pays a guaranteed coin substitute scaled to the case quality, from 100 coins at Common up to 5,000 at Legendary. A buff you are below maximum on is a genuine upgrade and is kept as rolled.
Closing the animation early does not cost you the case. The case is consumed when the spin starts, and if you press Escape or click out before the final frame it is refunded to you. A finished open is removed from the active list before any close event, so a completed spin is never refunded twice.
Opening a Rare, Epic or Legendary case is announced to the whole server. Common and Uncommon opens are silent.
Coin scaling and the daily cap
Coin rewards from a case are multiplied by a band based on your net worth. The bands exist so that a fixed payout stays meaningful to a player with a million coins without being deflated for a new one. The lowest band is x1.0, so nobody's rewards are made worse by this.
| Net worth at or above | Coin multiplier |
|---|---|
| 0 | x1.0 |
| 50,000 | x1.5 |
| 250,000 | x2.0 |
| 1,000,000 | x3.0 |
| 5,000,000 | x4.0 |
Your net worth is measured once and remembered for 60 seconds, so a single case open does not recalculate it forty times over during the animation.
Above the bands sits a hard limit: 60,000 coins per player per Minecraft day from vote cases. The cap applies to coin rewards only. Items, custom items, buffs, skill XP, boosters, tokens and further cases are unaffected and keep arriving after the cap has bound.
When the cap binds, the case pays the remainder rather than refusing, and tells you in chat that it did. So a case that would have paid 12,000 with 4,000 of headroom left pays 4,000 and says so. The counter resets on the next Minecraft day.
The vote shop
/voteshop, or /vs, spends the tokens you have collected. One token per vote means a full week of voting on all three listings is 21 tokens.
| Purchase | Cost | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Uncommon Case | 5 tokens | |
| Rare Case | 15 tokens | |
| Epic Case | 40 tokens | |
| Legendary Case | 100 tokens | |
| Job XP boost | 10 tokens | 1.5x job XP for 30 minutes |
The Job XP boost cannot be bought while one is already running. The check happens before the tokens leave your balance, and the shop card shows the remaining time instead of a price while the boost is live. This was a real defect once: the purchase used to go through, spend the tokens again and merely reset the timer.
The boost is stored on disk, so a server restart no longer deletes it. That was also a live bug, and it was open for several releases.
Mythic cases are not for sale. The only two routes to one are a 60 day streak and every 250th vote.
What voting does not give you
Voting is optional and it costs nothing. There is no money in it for you and none for the server beyond a listing position, and you can play everything here without ever casting a vote.
Nothing in the vote system is exclusive to it. Coins are earned faster through jobs, professions and the exploration systems. Buffs and boosters are bought at /buffs and /boosts. Skill XP comes from doing the skill. Ruin Keys, Rift Shards, Relic Coins and gems all have their own ordinary sources. Vote cases are a second, slower path to things that already exist, not a gate in front of them.
The realistic scale is worth naming. Three votes a day is one Common case, three tokens, roughly nine coins of drip and one day of streak progress. The large numbers in this article, the 12,000 coin Legendary roll and the 35,000 coin Mythic roll, sit behind either a month of daily voting or 250 lifetime votes, and the 60,000 daily cap bounds what any single day of them can pay.
Voting depends on an external component, NuVotifier, which is a soft dependency. If it is not running, votes cast on the listing sites do not reach the server and are not recorded. If a vote you cast never showed up, that is the first thing to ask about.
The Mythic tier, the 133 row catalogue, the per-player conditions, the wealth bands and the 60,000 daily cap all arrived in the 1.13.0 vote rebuild, whose own status line reads code-written, not server-verified. The figures on this page are the figures the code and the catalogue file contain. They are not reports of measured behaviour on the live server.
